PRE-INDEPENDENCE DAY STRIKE A JOB FAIR 2026 CONNECTS JOB SEEKERS WITH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

3rd Floor, SM City Bacoor – June 11, 2026 — The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, successfully conducted the Pre-Independence Day Strike a Job Fair 2026 through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) headed by Dr. Abraham De Castro. The event was held at the 3rd Floor of SM City Bacoor and brought together employers, job seekers, and government partners in support of local employment generation.

Present during the activity were Vice Mayor Rowena B. Mendiola, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, Councilors Noly Galvez and Karen Sarino Evaristo, Board Member Alde Pagulayan, SM City Bacoor Mall Manager Ms. Joie Arvesu, and Ms. Catherine Uy of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

A total of 70 participating companies from various industries, including retail, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, and business process outsourcing, offered more than 500 employment opportunities for aspiring applicants. Available positions ranged from entry-level and skilled jobs to professional and supervisory roles, providing diverse career options for job seekers with different qualifications and work experiences.

In addition to employment opportunities, the job fair featured a range of support services designed to help applicants improve their chances of securing employment. These included resume-building assistance, career counseling, and information sessions on government livelihood and employment programs.

The event attracted not only residents of Bacoor but also job seekers from neighboring cities such as Imus and Dasmariñas. More than 1,200 applicants registered and participated in the activity, demonstrating the strong demand for employment opportunities in the region.

Anchored on the theme, “True independence begins with the ability to provide for our families and secure honorable employment,” the job fair highlighted the importance of meaningful work in empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

The Pre-Independence Day Strike a Job Fair forms part of the City Government’s broader employment and economic development initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment, enhancing workforce readiness, and creating greater opportunities for residents to achieve financial stability and career growth.

Through partnerships with the private sector and government agencies, the City Government of Bacoor continues to promote inclusive economic development and provide accessible pathways to employment for Bacooreños and neighboring communities.
