MAYOR ABBY BINAY AND MAYOR STRIKE B. REVILLA SIGN MOA, COMMITTING BACOOR AND MAKATI TO SHARING BEST PRACTICES

Bacoor City, March 6, 2025 – The City Governments of Bacoor and Makati today signed a Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) at the Revilla Hall, signifying a commitment to sharing best practices and collaborating on initiatives that will enhance service delivery and improve the lives of their respective constituents. The signing ceremony, attended by key officials from both cities, was a testament to the growing partnership between the two LGUs.

The MOA was signed by Mayor Strike B. Revilla of Bacoor City and Mayor Mar-Len Abigail “Abby” Binay of Makati City, who both expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration. The agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise in various areas, including disaster risk reduction and management, economic enterprises, civil registration, health services, and internal audit.

Among the attendees from Bacoor City were Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista-Mendiola, Atty. Aimee Torrefrangca-Neri, Sangguniang Panglungsod Members, and Team Revilla. From Makati City, the attendees included Mr. Richard Raymund Rodriguez (Chief Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Office City of Makati), Mr. Jing Mangahas (Economic Enterprises Management Office), Atty. Ranier Salazar (City Civil Registration Office), Dr. Roy Unson (Makati Health Department – MHD), Dr. Leeron Borja (Medical Officer IV MHD), and Mr. Philip Garces (Internal Audit Services).

A key focus of the partnership is the sharing of Makati’s “Makatizen Card” system, which streamlines service delivery and provides residents with convenient access to various city services. Bacoor City officials are eager to learn from Makati’s experience and implement similar initiatives to enhance efficiency and improve citizen satisfaction.

The signing ceremony was met with enthusiastic support from Bacooreรฑo residents, who expressed their appreciation for the collaboration and the potential benefits it holds for the city. The event highlighted the commitment of both cities to working together to create a better future for their residents.

The MOA represents a significant step towards strengthening inter-LGU collaboration, fostering innovation, and promoting the exchange of best practices. The partnership between Bacoor and Makati is expected to lead to improved service delivery, enhanced efficiency, and a stronger sense of community for both cities.
