October 9, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, was recognized for its exceptional performance in local finance during the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) 37th Anniversary National Awarding Ceremony held at Seda Manila Bay in Paranaque City.

The Department of Finance (DOF), through the BLGF, celebrated the achievements of top-performing provinces, cities, and municipalities for fiscal years 2022 and 2023 in strengthening local government finance. Bacoor City earned a prestigious award for achieving the highest (Top 5) year-on-year growth in local sourced income for Fiscal Year 2023 among all cities nationwide.

Mayor Strike B. Revilla, together with Atty. Edith C. Napalan, Head of the City Finance Department, received the award on behalf of Bacoor City. They were joined by DOF Secretary Ralph G. Recto, Executive Director Consolacion Q. Agcaolli of the BLGF, Atty. Joyce M. Briones, Director IV of DOF, and Secretary Ivan John E. Uy, from the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
