The program commenced with a warm welcome from City Mayor Alex L. Advincula, who expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative and its potential impact on the local community. Following the mayorโs address, Hon. Chelsea Jillian G. Sarno delivered a comprehensive project review, highlighting the objectives and expected outcomes of the tournament.
Mr. Jay R. B. Rodil, OIC of the Office of the Provincial Youth Development Officer (OPYDO) encouraged young athletes to actively participate in sports, especially football, and assured them of the unwavering support from the Provincial Government of Cavite. His inspiring words aimed to motivate the youth to pursue excellence in athletics and to cultivate a strong sporting spirit.
The event was graced by the presence of SK Presidents from various cities and municipalities across Cavite, demonstrating their collective support and commitment to youth development through sports. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from teams representing the City of Imus, City of General Trias, General Mariano Alvarez, Indang, City of Bacoor, Kawit, City of Carmona, Trece Martires City, Silang, and City of Dasmariรฑas.
In a display of unity and fair play, the Oath of Sportsmanship was recited, setting the tone for the competition. The highlight of the opening ceremony was the Declaration of the Opening of the Cavite Football Cup, followed by a ceremonial kick-off, signaling the official start of the tournament.
