The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, held a coordination meeting with representatives from the Department of Transportation – Light Rail Transit Project Implementation Unit (DOTR-LRT PIU) to discuss key matters related to infrastructure development and relocation activities.
The meeting was organized through the City Engineering Office headed by Jicky Jutba, with representatives from the City Administrator’s Office and the Housing Urban Development and Resettlement Department (HUDRD) also present.
Representing the DOTR-LRT PIU were Jovanie John R. Guang, Cyres Ian M. Sanchez, Dominic Paul Gomez, Christian Espiritu, Kayla Camille A. Miguel, Carlo Cervantes, Jan Clarence M. Pulido, and Kenneth O. Coronel.
A key agenda of the meeting was the relocation of 32 Informal Settler Families (ISF) affected by property acquisition for the Manila Light Rail Transit Line 1 South Extension Project. The relocation forms part of Package 3 of the project and covers activities such as social preparation, pre-relocation screening, site assignments, documentation, and the eventual relocation and turnover of housing units.
The focus area is along the LRT-1 South Extension Project alignment with a 10-meter Right-of-Way (ROW) identified as LRTA-acquired property. Initial activities conducted include:
• 1st General Assembly and document collection held at Zapote III Barangay Hall on March 19, 2026
• Census survey and on-site document collection conducted on March 26, 2026
Other matters discussed during the meeting included the relocation status of Maynilad Water Services and PT&T facilities, the issuance of Certificates of Compliance for demolition and eviction for affected ISFs, and updates on right-of-way clearing and demolition works.
The meeting highlighted the continued coordination between the Bacoor City Government and national agencies to ensure the smooth implementation of major infrastructure projects while addressing the welfare of affected residents.
