Eleven primary cooperatives from Tabuk City recently concluded a two-day Lakbay Aral aimed at enhancing their operations and services. Organized by the Tabuk City Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office, headed by Ms. Catherine Lee Uera, the trip, held from July 23-24, 2025, saw cooperative officers and management staff visit successful cooperatives in Cavite.
The Lakbay Aral provided a valuable opportunity for participants to witness firsthand the successful models and best practices of their counterparts. The group visited a diverse range of cooperatives, each showcasing unique strengths and approaches.
The first day of the journey took the group to General Trias Dairy Raisers Multi-Purpose Cooperative in General Trias City and Palangue Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Naic. The cooperatives showcased their products, services, and operational strategies. The day concluded at the New Provincial Government Center in Cavite, where Governor Abeng Remulla graced the event. Ms. Myrachel Cuadra, Supervising Administrative Officer, presented OPCDO services, and Ms. Rizalie Pinpin-Enero delivered welcoming remarks.
The following day continued the learning experience with visits to Santa Luisa Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Tagaytay City, Cafe Amadeo Development Cooperative in Amadeo, and Damayan sa Cavite Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Imus City. Each cooperative provided insights into their respective operations, highlighting successful strategies and innovative approaches.
The Lakbay Aral is expected to significantly benefit the participating Tabuk City cooperatives. By observing and learning from established models, the cooperatives can improve their own operations, expand their service offerings, and ultimately contribute to the economic growth of Tabuk City. The CCEDO expressed its gratitude to the Provincial Government of Cavite for accommodating and facilitating their learning journey.
