The Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Health Officer (OPHO) โ Oral Health Cluster, proudly spearheaded the observance of National Oral Health Month this February 2026 with a pioneering initiative designed to advance employee wellness and preventive health care.
In line with the provincial theme, โPara sa Malusog na Ngiti ng Ating mga Kawani,โ the program brought essential dental services directly to employees of the New Provincial Capitol Building, underscoring the governmentโs commitment to safeguarding the health and productivity of its workforce.
Headed by Dr. Mary Ann G. Montenegro, the Oral Health Cluster conducted free oral prophylaxis sessions at the OPD E-REG Function Hall on February 4, 10, 18, and 24, 2026. This month-long, structured in-house dental service program marked a significant milestone as the first of its kind for Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) employees.
To complement the clinical services, Dr. Cristina J. Lim delivered an Oral Health Awareness Lecture, reinforcing the importance of proper oral hygiene and regular dental consultations as vital components of overall health.
The initiative was met with strong participation, benefiting a total of 418 employees, each of whom received oral health kits upon availing of the services.
This successful undertaking highlights the Provincial Government of Caviteโs unwavering dedication to fostering a culture of prevention and sustaining comprehensive employee wellness programs. By championing initiatives such as this, the Provincial Government continues to set a benchmark in public serviceโtruly embodying the spirit of โPara sa Malusog na Ngiti ng Ating mga Kawani.โ
