In a heartfelt gesture of respect and recognition, the Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (PSWDO), successfully conducted a gift-giving activity on September 27 and 30, 2024 for the elderlies in the province. This initiative, aimed at honoring the invaluable contributions of senior citizens, took place in the municipalities of Magallanes, Ternate, General Emilio Aguinaldo, and Amadeo.

A total of 25 elderly residents from each municipality were carefully selected as recipients of gifts, which were personally delivered through house-to-house distribution. This initiative highlights the province’s commitment to ensuring that senior citizens, especially those in rural areas of Cavite, receive their mandated privileges and support.

The distribution was more than just a gesture of appreciation; it was a collaborative effort involving members of the Federation of Military Retirees and Veterans Association of Cavite, Presidents of the Federation of Senior Citizens, and the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs. Local social workers, along with representatives from the Provincial Board’s Committee on Social Services, Family, Women, Children, and Elderly, chaired by Board Member Romel Enriquez, and the Office of the Provincial Information Officer, also actively participated.

The Cavite Provincial Government remains steadfast in its commitment to providing services and programs that uplift and support its senior citizens. Through continuous efforts like these, the province aims to build a more inclusive and compassionate community for all.
