The Bureau of Fire Protection Calamba City Fire Station under the leadership of FCINSP ALEXANDER DALE Q BAENA, City Fire Marshal thru its Personnel received a call at around 4:30 p.m. last June 03, 2023 reporting a 2 missing children drowned in the creek of Brgy. Lamesa of this city.
BFP-Calamba Special Rescue Force (SRF) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Team immediately responded with a well planned strategy to retrieve the victims.
At 9:13 p.m. the first victim was recovered lifeless. Despite of the cold water and late hour of the night, the rescuer continued the search and retrieval operation. After almost 4 hours the 2nd victim was recovered under an approximately 15ft deep water. Despite the presence of a whirlpool, the operation was a success without any additional casualty and injury.
