18 June 2024 | The City of Bacoor launched the Malikhaing Bacooreno, a community event that aims to celebrate and promote art and culture within the Bacoor community. The project envisions bringing together artists, artisans, and art enthusiasts in an effort to create a vibrant, inclusive platform for artistic expression and appreciation.
With the presence of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista-Mendiola, Mr. Edwin B. Guinto, Tourism Officer of City of Bacoor, Mr. John Verlin Santos, Project Coordinator, SB Members, Asst. Regional Director Revelyn A. Cortez of DTI-IVA, OIC PD Lilibeth R. Chavez of DTI Cavite and other guest, a launching ceremony was held on 18 June at the City Hall Lobby Bacoor Cavite.
The Bacooreรฑos showed their talent when it came to singing, dancing, cosplay, guitar performance, spoken words and marching band. They also exhibited artworks highlighting the creative imagination of the local artists.
The Malikhaing Bacooreรฑo is an activity under the Lunsod Lunsad program, which started recognizing outstanding artists in Cavite.
