The initiative covered key partner-beneficiaries, including LGU Maragondon, Likhang Maragondon, Barangay Tua Farmers Association (BATUFA) Cooperative in Magallanes, and Daine 1 & 2 Farmers Association in Indang. The team also visited Habing Maragondon and Ramirez Upland Farmers Association, Inc. (RUFAI) in Magallanes to assess ongoing operations and evaluate the utilization and condition of previously deployed equipment.

More than a routine inspection, the activity underscored DOSTโ€™s hands-on approach to development. Equipment tagging ensured proper identification, documentation, and accountability of government-funded resources. Meanwhile, on-site monitoring enabled the team to directly engage beneficiaries, validate improvements in productivity and efficiency, and determine how technological interventions have strengthened operations since their deployment.

By moving beyond ceremonial turnover and engaging directly with beneficiary communities, DOST Cavite demonstrated that its commitment extends far beyond the distribution of equipment. The site visits enabled the team to closely assess project implementation, gain deeper insight into operational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide strategic technical guidance to further maximize the impact of science and technology interventions.

The activity reaffirmed DOSTโ€™s broader mission of driving inclusive growth through science, technology, and innovation. Through sustained monitoring and continuous engagement, the agency ensures that government support translates into measurable progressโ€”improving livelihoods, strengthening local enterprises, and building resilient community-based industries.

DOST CALABARZON and DOST Cavite likewise expressed their sincere gratitude to the cooperatives and associations for their strong cooperation and shared commitment to project success. Their dedication plays a crucial role in transforming these initiatives into models of grassroots innovationโ€”advancing science and technology not only within Cavite but across the Philippines.

With strengthened partnerships, transparent implementation, and community-centered monitoring, DOST continues to empower local stakeholders, champion responsible technology utilization, and pave the way toward a more progressive and innovation-driven nation.
