The Bureau of Fire Protection Makati City Fire Station, under the leadership of City Fire Marshal FSUPT ANTHONY R ARROYO, recently celebrated two highly successful events.
The first event marked the signing of the “KAISA” manifesto of support by a significant new partner, P&EL Realty Corporation also known as Cebuana Lhuillier, Makati. This initiative, part of the Bureau of Fire Protection’s “A Call to Action Against Destructive Fire Campaign,” holds great importance as a key element of BFP’s “OPLAN LIGTAS NA PAMAYANAN” campaign. The primary objective of this campaign is to actively involve various sectors of society in promoting and ensuring fire safety and protection.
The second event honored the awarding of Certificates of Completion of Training (CCT) for Technical Skills for Responders Course to their Fire Brigade. These certificates acknowledged the successful completion of rigorous training, equipping the Fire Brigade with the essential skills and knowledge needed to handle fires and other emergencies effectively.
FSINSP ARVIN JUDE A RAPANO, Chief of the Fire Prevention Section, delivered the opening remarks, expressing gratitude to the entire management of Cebuana Lhuillier for their interest in BFP’s two initiatives. He emphasized how their support greatly benefits the organization in implementing fire safety and prevention in workplaces and communities.
FSUPT ARROYO also extended his thanks to Cebuana Lhuillier and encouraged all participants to carry the knowledge gained from the training in their hearts. He emphasized that this knowledge not only benefits the companies they work for but also serves the broader community.
Mr. Severino Gonzales, First Vice President & Group Head Properties of Cebuana Lhuillier, expressed his gratitude to the Bureau for the opportunity and assured BFP of their continued support. Also present at the event were Mr. Angelo Tamayo, the Security Operations Management Lead, and Mr. Enrico Aguilar, the Head of Property & Facility Security Management Department. Additionally, FINSP JUDY C SABERON, who serves as the Chief of the Community Relations and Public Information Unit of BFP-Makati and oversees both mentioned activities, was in attendance.
